PERT

WHAT IS THE PERT? 

The Postsecondary Education Readiness Test, is the Florida's customized common placement test.  The purpose of this test is to determine accurate course placement based on the student's skills and abilities.  The PERT is aligned with the postsecondary readiness Competencies identified by Florida faculty as necessary for success in entry-level college credit coursework. The PERT assessment system includes placement and diagnostic test in Mathematics, reading, and writing.

                                                Eligibility Requirements

  • Be enrolled in 6th - 12th grade 
  • Have a GPA in a high school level course. 
  • College Credit programs require a minimum of a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA and qualifying test scores. 
  • Vocational programs require a minimum 2.0 cumulative, unweighted high school GPA, and qualifying test scores.
